How to use a cell ref to get directory?

This is most likely a very simple problem.
In worksheet "Settings" I have a cell where users are able to input a directory name. eg. abc
In worksheet "values" I have it setup to pull values from another workbook.

So what I am looking for is away to do the following:
    example cell A2 in values sheet: = C:\ Settings!C40 \files\[values.csv]values'!A3 so that it looks like "= C:\abc\files\[values.csv]values'!A3"

Most thankful for any help you can offer.

Take a look at the indirect function

My approach to providing help is to help you to help yourself. So my answers won't always solve your problem, but hopefully you can learn enough to solve the problem yourself and be more self sufficient for the experience.

    Thanks Mallycat,
Will look into further. Tried a quick test but keep getting errors in formula.
