Trying to add a formula that changes to a color if goal is met by 15th day of month

I'm trying to add a formula in the yellow highlighted area to look at cell E5 and to check it to cell G5 if goal is met by 15th of the month.

Thank you Dilipandey, a date would help. Would I add the 15th of the month as the date or just a date? If that is the case what would the formula look like to make the cell green if goal is met by the 15th?

Hi mhoshue,

Its like rolling sum of sales figures per day and if it meets the target - lets say on 12th we can say "Yes - we achieved the target before 15th" and I am not finding any such scenario in your data.. hope you got the point.

No, I am not too good with formulas. How would that formula look dilipandey? It sounds like you know exactly what I'm missing.

Yes.. but you need to provide data for that.

See, you are saying

"change color if goal is met by 15th"

- and hence I need to see data for this.

Okay.. Do you have daily sales figures?

Sorry DILIPandey, I did not explain myself well. The daily sales figures would be placed manually in the Sold (OA) area. This cell represents the MTD total at that given time. I've reattached the spreadsheet with the date the goal should be met or before. I hope I explained it better.

Okay.. so how excel will understand that which day's sales data is being entered ? or this would be on current day ?

Not sure.. but try entering below formula in h5 and drag down till h13 :-
