Vlookup problems

Here I am again. I am running two vlookup formulas in my spreedsheet. Each one is referencing a different sheet. I have another sheet which is an imported query from Access. The vlookup columns work great doing data entry. BUT, when I try to copy and past a column from the imported sheet that is imported from the access query it doesn't work.......unless.........(something I stumbled accross).....I select Paste Special, and choose the Add option. Not sure what is going on. I manually transferred the sheet that is the Access query into another sheet and the copy and paste process worked, but it did not work from the actual imported Access Query. Anybody know why????
