    Randomly Assigning Names

Good Day! I have an issue that I just cannot seem to figure out... HOW to take a HUGE list of names and randomly assign these names to a group of 8 people. This assignment has to be random (otherwise I could take my list and cut out equal portions for each). The file contains First Name, Last name ID# and two other 1-digit fields. Any help would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!

In a separate column (say column Z), write down names of these 8 people from Z1:Z8

Alongside your huge list, use this formula and drag down
    =INDEX($Z$1:$Z$8,RANDBETWEEN(1,8))
    Life's a spreadsheet, Excel!

Thanks, but it didnt work....It actually didnt do anything. My list stayed in alphabetical sequence and there was nothing that happened. I typically can muddle my way through EXCEL issues, but this one has me completely miffed. I have attached a sample of the format of the file......thanks again for your help!
