I'm working on updating our quoting tool for our company and I'm needing some help.
I've incorporated our price sheets that show our cost based on each manufacturer. My columns include: Part Number, Description, Retail, Cost.
The goal is to be able to look up a part number, then once that part number is selected it will then fill in the description, retail cost, our cost, etc. Sounds like a pretty simple VLookup.
Vlookup works perfectly, however here are my issues:
1) I have thousands of part numbers, a simple drop down list is WAY too long to scroll through to find each part number
2) If we could start typing the part number then that could perhaps help. (I don't know how to do that)
3) If I could potentially have a list before part numbers with the Manufacturers, then once the manufacturer is selected then have a 2nd list of only parts from that manufacturer. That would help, but would still like to begin typing the part number.
