    DATEDIF formula

    Hi,

I'm Using a datedif formula to work out how many months worked between an employees start date and a particular desired end date that I will manually set each month, current desired date is months worked to 01/06/2013, next month I will change desired end date to 01/07/2013 and so on until December. This formula works fine except when an employees leaves the program and the end date is prior to the manually set desired date of 01/06/2013.

I have attached a spreadsheet for an example. I need some sort of If statement added to this formula, so that if the end date is prior to "months worked to date" the formula will then ignore the manual date and calculate actual months worked.

I hope my attached example is clear. Thanks for your time

    Re: DATEDIF formula

It's documented, but not in any recent versions of Excel.

However, the DATEDIF function has well documented bugs in certain versions of Excel and under certain applications.

Do a Google search on "excel datedif bug" and you'll get lots of hits.
