    Group cells with formula

Attached is an example of my problem. I'm trying to come up with a formula that I can use on the "customer" tab that will look like the "master" tab. Is there a formula/macro that I can use instead of copying/pasting the material for or into every customer on the "customer tab"?

I want to use a formula where I can populate everything without having to copy/paste like I did in the "master tab"

Sorry if I couldn't explain it any better.

    Hi eguirocker3

What do you want to show on the cust tab? Do you want totals only (if so totyals of what?), or all the details from the master (in which case why not just copy and paste the whole sheet?)

Perhaps you could post an example of what you expect the cust tab to look like?

    Re: Group cells with formula

I would like the customer tab to look exactly like the master sheet.

I have a project in where there are hundreds of customers in which I would like to see material info under each customer. I figured there would be a formula or something to do instead of inserting rows under each customer and copying/pasting material info under each one. That would take all day.

    Hi eguirocker3

True, it would take all day. However to copy the entire sheet will be 2 clicks (OK 3 if you count selecting the new sheet ) and then you can sort by customer.

I revised the example. I have hundreds of lines in my real project and to go through and insert lines and copy paste material information would take forever.

    Hi eguirocker3

I think the light is beginning to dawn on me. (I think). You have given us the Master as being where you want to get to. So what do you start with? Presumably a list of customers and the data in your material info sheet. If I am right so far then all I am missing is how you know which customers need to be attached to which Sales Group. In the example you show each customer having the same 3 Sales Groups (and hence Material and Rate). I am guessing that this is not the situation in real life, so how do you decide which customer gets which sales group?

Sorry if I am a bit slow on the uptake here, but I am trying to understand.

    Regards
    Alastair
