Formula to give me the cells that add up to another cell

Hi,

I'm after what I think is a fairly simple set of formulas. What I want to be able to do is put some numbers into a group of cells, for it to in some way tell me which of the numbers in the cells add up to the number in a total cell. I have a feeling no one will understand this so I'll upload a sample workbook: Excel Forum.xlsx

Can anyone understand?

I'm working on this one, but I have a question. Will the list of numbers always be that long or will it be different each time?

Thanks. Do you mean the number of digits? They will have pence when I use it and could be anything from 1 to 5 digits in front of the decimal point

Sorry just gathered what you mean about the list of numbers. No, is the answer unfortunately. The list could be 3 - 10 numbers long.
