    Timesheet calculation

    Hi
I am trying to complete the formula in a timesheet whereby I have the following

    For Example

    I put in hours as 3 - 5.30pm and 6.30pm - 10.30pm for day one.

I need to be able to do:

    1. Add in the am or pm automatically at the end of each time
    2. add these two times together in a total box

    Hope someone can help

    Re: Timesheet calculation

There is a problem with your approach.
Assume you enter 7 in cell C27. Is that 7AM or 7PM?

Why not enter data in military time ie 7:00 for 7AM and 19:00 for 7 PM?
If you enter data that way, the AM or PM would be displayed properly, assuming you formatted the cell correctly

As for the total hours, enter this formula in cell L27

The formula subtracts the start and end time(s). The 24 converts the fraction of the day to hours
