Finding out how many hours are used between a time range

Hello,

I have is a spreadsheet with the shift start time, and the shift end time. I want to find out how many hours an employee will be working between say, 10 am and 2 pm.

It's proven difficult for me to figure this out reliably, considering the shift start time could be 7 am for 1 employee, and 11 am for the next. The end times fluctuate as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
