    Power Pivot join tables question

Hello all, so I am trying to sort purchases into different categories.

    NON-VIP
    NEW-VIP
    OLD (returning)-VIP

I have two tables in power pivot that looks something like this:
    powerpivot question.jpg

As you can see sales transaction
"AA" = new VIP (the VIP join date and transaction date is the same)
"BB" = old VIP (there is a VIP code but it is not the same as the join date)
"CC" = non VIP (there is no VIP code)

So my question is, in power pivot is there any way that I can also display the "JOIN DATE" field in Table 2? I have created a relationship between the two tables using VIP code, but this does not move the JOIN DATE over to Table 2. It also seems tricky since some of the rows in table 2 do not have a VIP Code.

Any idea how I can do this, or suggestions what would be the best design?

    Thank you
    Regards
    Eric

Re: Power Pivot join tables question

So I think I solved it.
What I was looking for was the "related" formula.

    Thank you!
