Add a week to the date

Hi guys. Say I have a column which contains dates and times e.g.

Jul 15, 2013 6:30 PM
Jul 15, 2013 6:45 PM
Jul 15, 2013 7:00 PM
Jul 15, 2013 7:15 PM
Jul 15, 2013 7:30 PM
Jul 15, 2013 7:45 PM
Jul 15, 2013 8:00 PM
Jul 15, 2013 8:15 PM
Jul 15, 2013 8:30 PM


Is there any way I can copy and paste this column somewhere else, but with one week added onto the date e.g.

I know I could do it manually, but it becomes a long process when you have many of these you need to do.

You could just put a formula in the "somwhere else"..

=A1+7

Assuming your dates start in A1 and down, did you tried to use?

=A1+7

and copy down?

Do this..

- In a separate cell input 7
- Copy this cell
- Paste special -- add -- onto original data

No, all the answers help. I was considering +7, but then this will cause issues if +7 takes the new list above 31. So I could instead take some advice from the thread you linked too, and use some of the date functions to sort this out.

Why would that matter?
A week is a week, regardless if it extends into the next month..

Jonmo1 is right, regardless of a month change, adding 7 will place the correct date. July 30 won't become July 37, it will become August 6
