Would This Be Possible? Making a cell exempt from sum formula.

I use a budget sheet I developed over time (developing only by adding features, columns, lists etc. - I do not understand excel formulas or am not an advanced excel user).

I put my every spending in a sheet of the budget worksheet I use. On the top, the sum changes everytime I add a new spending.

But I have a problem - When I make a cash withdrawal from bank, I would like to put this on the same column too, to keep track of what I withdraw - only for information. But - this is not spent yet and I do not want the sum at the top not to change. The line of the column I make the withdrawal, of course always changes.

Is this something like possible? To make this cell not added to the automated sum at the top?

Something came to my mind - such as making an adjacent cell a dropdown menu and making options such as (credit card spending) (cash spending) (cash withdrawal) and when from the dropdown menu, "cash withdrawal" is selected, it might make the next cell " text value", not a number, so the number will not be added to the sum. Does this sound ok? Is there any way to do that?

Or - if not - Any other solution to what I try to accomplish?

Hi. Sample is attached. I can not post my current sheet here, there are sensitive info inside it, but I created a sample one to give all of you an idea. As you see, there is a cash withdrawal (I highlighted in yellow for you all to see). But I do not want it to be added to the "total spending" yet. I will spend from this withdrawal as I spend by cash, and add the spendings one by one as they arrive. (as an example, I highlighted in pink "Example xyz spending from cash" - I want these cash spendings to be added to the sum - this is easy and already done - no problems). But I want to make "cash withdrawal from bank" to be ignored and not to be added to total spending sum as it is yet to be spent. However, I want to have this cash withdrawal to be in the list for me to see. It is in the pocket, and will be spend.

As a novice, I thought above conditional formatting in the first post can be a solution ( I can make the "D" column values a dropdown list, and if "cash withdrawal" option is selected, the next column can be formatted as "text" not "number" and not added to the total spendings.) This is just an idea from someone like me who can not understand excel and I do not know if any other formula can do that.

Is there any formula or other solution? The row of the new "cash withdrawal" transactions of course will always change as added, as new months & transactions come, and can not be always in the same line. And there would be more than one cash withdrawal in one given month. So I thought I would specify with a dropdown menu which one is cash withdrawal - as the rows change and I need to specify which one is cash withdrawal.

Edit: I can make a cell manually "text" cell - however if I missed a point I can not see later easily.
