I suspect this will be very simple for someone out there ....
I have a spreadsheet for my lottery syndicate at work. I need to calculate how many £1's to take out of everyone's salary each month for the following month's lottery syndicate.
Therefore, I'd like to be able to automatically calculate how many saturdays there are in a month.
E.G.
July 2013 4
Aug 2013 5
Sep 2013 4
etc etc etc

If you have the 1st of the month in A1 then you can use this formula to give the number of Suturdays in that month
=4+(DAY(A1+34)< WEEKDAY(A1-7))
The 7 at the end indicates Saturdays. Change as required for a count of other days of the week
Edit:This is a DDL formula many(4) years ago...
