need help with a IF formula

I have a cell that cannot have a value that is greater than 24 (24 hours in a day). So, if the value is 27 I need to subtract 24 so that the value is 3 or if the value is less than or equal to 24 just display that value. Any help would be appreciated.

=mod(a1,24)
