    cut numbers, keeping the 0 at the beginning

    Hello,

    hope someone can help me:

    I need the first 6 digits of numbers with 7 digits. I cut them with =left(A1;6). The problem is that a lot of numbers begin with 0 or 00 and when I use the formula and cut them the zeros will not be registered.

    example:

    3764853 --> 376485
    0639455 --> 639455 (wrong, should be 063945)
    0075912 --> 75912 (wrong, should be 007591)

    Thank you a lot in advance for help!!
    Henni

    Perhaps =Left(text(A1;"0000000");6)
