Hello everyone,
I'm not sure my title accurately explains my problem, but... Basically I'm trying to collect stats over a series of games by using a formula that will add up results for different values for me, using the player's name as reference. The raw data for each team is contained on separate sheets, which I would like to summarize on a stats sheet. Since I'm undoubtedly going to do a terrible job trying to explain this, I've included a couple of pictures below to help clarify what I'm trying to accomplish.
Team Tab:

- After each match I will create a new table of stats, which will use the same names each time that player plays (Dave, for example, will always be Dave, but will appear in a separate instance each time he plays)
Stats Tab:

- I need a formula that will use the person's name, find instances where the stat is used on the Team Tab sheet, and then add the value to this one.
For games played, I was thinking the simplest solution would be to add up the values from the Wins and Losses columns.
For Wins, I was thinking of using "Yes" or "No" on the Team Tab, where each instance of "Yes" would add 1 to the "Win" column and "No" would add 1 to the "Loss" column on the Stats Tab.
All other values can be simply added together (for instance, Dave scores 1000 points in one game, then 1000 points in the next game, the stats tab will display "2000" points).
Please let me know if I can provide any additional information that will help you help me with this formula, I've made a little bit of headway, but I think it's looking like it'll be a bit too complex for me to figure out on my own.
Thanks,
Evan
