    Add negative numbers to make positive

    I have =-ABS(R30:AC30) and is not converting the negative numbers to add as positive. I have a -70 and a -100 in there and need it to be 170.

    =ABS(SUM((R30:AC30)))

    =abs(sum(r30:ac30)) ?
