    Shift cell to the left

    Hi, everyone.
    I have a work book that contains data spread over 6 columns and hundreds of rows and one cell in each column contains "-". The problem is i want to omit all the -'s and shift the immediate cell to the left and i only know how to do it one at a time please help!

    Hi, If you have only six columns, i recommend you use the filter option. Filter from the first column and move column 2 to 6 in. Filter the second row and move column 3-6 in. and so on.

    I dont know i understand correct or not.

    1. Replace all the - with blank.
    2. Select all the columns that have date, then CTRL + G
    3. Special, select blanks
    4. Right click any of the selected cell.
    5. Choose delete, Shift Cells Left.

    Thank Your for your feedback LonelyKnight but, the data goes way down to more than 100 rows with six columns each and each column has - in one cell spread over different columns and if i'm not wrong filtered data cannot be copied with multiple selection
