    Help with =MOD(ROW) formula

    I am trying to highlight blocks of 3 rows so I have been using the following formula:

    =MOD(CEILING(ROW(),5),2)=1

    I want it to start in row 2 though, so the following happens:

    Row 1 = Blank
    Row 2,3,4 = Fill
    Row 5,6,7 = Blank

    etc

    I have tried only highlighting the range that I want to fill but it still starts in row 1.

    Does anyone know how to do this?

    Re: Help with =MOD(ROW) formula

    Hi again,

    Your suggestion solved my problem, but I'm doing this for a work spreadsheet and we use Excel 2003. I have another spreadsheet that I'd like to do the same thing for, but there are already 3 conditional formatting rules applied so I can't figure out how to get this to work. Is there a way to have 4 conditional formats with Excel 2003 or can this be done using VBA?
