Calculate Hours Worked between two dates

Good Day People,

I hope that you can maybe help me. I have an excel spreadsheet that calculates all hours worked on a weekly basis from employees. I want now to make it easyer and include two cells that the dates can be filled in. If there are two dates filled in, then I want it to work out for me the hours worked between that two dates.

Then I also have an coulmn that has the amount of employees for one specific date. Now I want it to work out between the above mentioned two date the maximum amount of employees between that two dates filled in.

I hope really that I make sence.

If using 2007 or later you could use Sumifs but as your profile says 2003 then try the Sumproduct function. In cell A8:

Hi, Thanks DBY, the one for working the total hours out between the two dates worked great. Thanks a million. The A13 cell, unfortunately I don't need the total amount for that period, but I need the highest amount of employees (maximum) between the two dates. So if it is 5 for the one day and next day it's 4 and then next day 2 then maybe 8 employees then 5 employees, then the awnser must be 8 and not 24.
