Count if, sum product, dcount, not sure which i need or how to use it

Hi,

I'm trying to automate a burn down chart.

I have a list of items that need to be completed. I need to return the amount of items that were completed within a given time frame.

I'm still thinking/working on my end product idea for this so i apologize for the worksheet being sporadic.

So in column L and M i have the time frame. In column N i want to return the number of items that say "released" (column b).

all your help is appreciated, thanks guys.
