How can you display the formula used?

I have a row of numbers such as:
    18900
    16275
    13650
    11025
    8400
    5775
    3150

If I select all of them and drag the box down one row, it gives me:
    525

How do I get it to display the formula it used to create 525?

It's an extrapolation of the linear trendline through the first seven points

So it's calculating the slope of the trendline. Is there a way to make Excel display the math that it's using?

See Help for LINEST (or any book that covers linear regression) for how Excel calculates slope and intercept.
