Add days to a specific date to get a later date.

I have attached file for reference..Leave plan.xlsx

I am trying to get a future date by adding n number of days with conditions like
There are three columns - departure(date entered by user), from(the problem cell), day(it shows day i.e monday, tuesday etc taken from departure column)
- if date in "depature" column happens to be saturday(day column) then "From" cell should have date of next monday. for example if departure date is 1 Jan and it is saturday then "from" column should have 3 Jan. if any other day then next day.
- but, if monday is holiday then "from" column should have 4 Jan and so on...

Hi,

I've changed your formula by adding just a little addition plus I added a extra piece to the other formulas to hide them when col D "Name" is empty. See attached:

Sorry Ursul you did not get the point, i am reattaching your file. Check the Holidays sheet under table gazetted holidays if you see 26th Aug is holiday now if Departure date is 24 Aug i.e. Saturday then "From" date should be 27 Aug as 25th is Sunday and 26th is holiday. please unhide Holidays sheet it must be hidden that is why you skipped it..

Sorry ajitexcel I didn't notice the hidden sheet - my bad!

I thought the formula I put in there was a little too simple - watching sport now so maybe I'll look at this tomorrow!

Which holidays are you using - is it just those under "Gazetted holidays"? Try WORKDAY function, e.g. in J3 copied down

=WORKDAY(I3,1,Holidays!B$3:B$20)
