Return values based on a drop-down list

I have a list of numbers in a data validation drop down in column "A" and I need for columns "B" & "C" to reflect different descriptions for each of the different nuber sets. How do I go about doing this?

Hi and welcome to the forum

For what it's worth, I only use nested IF()'s for something like this if I have only 3-4 choices to make. Beyond that I consider using vlookup or index/match
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

How would I do the nested "IF()'s? I have "7" different numbers in column "A" with "3" different possabilities in both columns "B" & "C"?

That change was hardly better than the 1st title, I have changed it for you - this time

How would I do the nested "IF()'s? I have "7" different numbers in column "A" with "3" different possabilities in both columns "B" & "C"?
i would suggest you upload a sample work book, (all sensitive data removed), showing what data you are working with, a few examples of what your expected outcome is, and how you arrived at that
To attach a file to your post,
click advanced (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage file",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
