Re: Count a data from the list

    Hi, Jemima Sugantharani,

maybe add a pivot table, get the dates into the rows, group them by month and year, get the names of the persons to the columns and and values into the data range.

Re: Count a data from the list

Yes you are right. If i enter date month and year in the first sheet i would need the data for that month as consolidated in the second sheet
If the person gets two feedback and one year i need the count as consolidated for that month

Updated file attached for your reference

Re: Count a data from the list

I would not disagree that a pivot table is the way to go, but to do as you ask, look at SUMPRODUCT().

    See this workbook.

Re: Count a data from the list

    Hi,

regarding _xlfn: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ex...010204569.aspx. Not supported function CountIfs in 2003.

    @Marcol:
can´t find the link to the workbook in #14 (it´s Saturday, maybe just the normal issue with the Forum on Saturdays and Sundays). Edit: okay, didn´t show up in the preview at #24.

    Ciao,

Your sheet layout and request makes the formula longer using SUMPRODUCT() merged cells are not a good idea.

You could use this, and suppress the zeros
    Formula: copy to clipboard
Please Login or Register to view this content.

Or use the same formula in an IF() statement as in the example workbook.

Why do you want to edit the formula?
Just enter it in B4 then drag it across then down.
