Group By the Records based on multiple Column Values

    Hi Team,

looking for an option to resolve my below problem in excel.

i have data (Employee Level) contain single employeeID will have multiple records.

We have to group the EmployeeIDs based on their Group Customer , Project Name , Start Date and End Date.

want to see how many are eligible records for analysis.

    for Example:

    1. if an employee id (100 ) have two records and his Group Customer, Project Name, Start Date and End Date is Same then the eligible record count as 1 Record or else it should be counted as 2 records.

    2. if an Employee id ( 300 ) have 3 records and out of 3 , 2 records of same value at the above 4 columns and 1 having separate values then Eligible count for Employee id 300 is 2 record.

have attached a sample worksheet. you can see i have added a column called "Eligible Record".

can i use some formula/VBA code to get this Eligible Record count at each employee level.

Looking forward your quick response on this.

    regards
    Kamal M.

    sorry,

looks like you're also wanting to count based on "Group customer"

    use this instead:

    Formula: copy to clipboard
