MS EXCEL Formula - Helps with 1 cell right of Matching Cell
Hey im new with excel so i hope you can understand me.
I'm looking for a formula for data that says.
if a2= a data entry between d1 & d100 then a2 should = 1 cell right of that matching cell. (not 1 right of a2, but of the matching cell in column D )

Maybe:
=VLOOKUP(A2,$D$1:$E$100,2,FALSE)
Formula is not to be put in A2. It is to be put in an empty cell.

A2 cannot have two values. It cannot have the lookup value and the value that is returned by the lookup. If you want the value to the right of the matching value in column D then you will have to decide where you want to put that value. It can't be A2.
The formula to find a matching value is =VLOOKUP(A2,$D$1:$E$100,2,0)

I think I said that already....
NBVC formua seems to be working. I'll try it on a large scale shortly.
A2 just needs to equal the cell one right of the matched value.
IF you are saying that the formula worked, then you are doing it correctly. A2 contains the value to look for in D1:D100. The formula will be in another cell, like B2, and it will return the matching result form E1:E100.
Or use INDEX & MATCH function like this, in the cell that you interest.
=index(e1:e1000,match(a2,d1:d1000,0))
