Calculating overtime in Excel for over 40 hrs per week

    Hi,
I`m trying to calculate overtime when I have more than 40 hours per week.
I have an spreadsheet where I enter the data like start time, end time and brake as result I have for example 57:00 Hours per week and need to calculate 40 hours per regular rate and the hours over 40 by 1.5.
But seems like I'm doing it wrong.

    Please help!

    Thanks for your time.

    Mike

    Hi,

    See attached.

Your workbook was confusing time 'numbers' which represent the differences in the numbers of days or fractions of days, and the numbers of hours which you need for your calculation.
