Hello excel experts,
I am attempting to produce a spreadsheet to help track daily and weekly sales compared to budget - given a monthly budget. For example $300,000 budget for a 30 day month = $10,000 a day and $70000 per week. However I significant variances in trade on certain days of the week. E.g closed Sunday, quiet Saturday, busy Thursday. I have calculated indexes for each day of the week and can calculate daily budgets given a weekly budget but I can't do this using my monthly budget.
I was hoping there was someway of allocating each day an index and supply a budget for a specific month (e.g. September 2013) and then have excel recognise how many of each day of the week fall in that month and calculate the daily budgets accordingly.
