How do you skip a row when auto dragging a formula?

How do you skip a cell when dragging a formula down? For example, I use vlookup to match sales information to customers on a spreadsheet. These customers are grouped together and assigned a manager. I sum up each group to get a sales total per manager(subtotal). I do this month to month for the entire year, adding a column each month. Is there a way I can skip over the manager subtotal cells (in which i have the sum formula for each manager) when dragging down the vlookup formula? Thank you in advance for your reply?

That's what I'm trying to avoid, I have over 100 managers.

you cant but if there is something in the table say it says subtotal in a10 there may be a way
Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are demonstrated, mock them up manually if needed. Remember to desensitize the data.

Well then copy one of the formula, filter that column for blanks and then paste over them
