    vlookup, if function

    Hi All,

    Im looking for a formula that looks at a list on one spreadsheet and looks at another list on a different spreadsheet and adds up the number on the other tab. And then for each month TAB there is a total for each colour.

    So a listing of colours on spreadsheet 1
    Red
    Blue
    Yellow

    On spreadsheet 2 there is the colour in one column with how much of that colour there is in the column next to it like;
    Red 3
    Yellow 2
    Blue 1
    Red 2
    Red 1
    Blue 1

    I need the formula in speadsheet one to look at the Listing next to it then look at spreadsheet 2 and say Red 6, Blue 2, Yellow 2

    Red, Blue, Yellow.xlsx
