    Save sheet without the formulas

    I have a situation:
Currently at work we manually input data from a database to excel (call this Book1). I am now linking this to a huge excel spreadsheet our software generates to a fixed loaction (Call this Book2). This is no problem, i've almost completed linking everything up from Book2 to Book1, things are looking promising.

What i realized today though, is that i can't just save Book1 and open it the next day; it is offcourse always looking at Book2.

So; is there a way that once Book1 is updated from Book2 that i can save Book1 with all the data, but that it stops updating from Book2? In a way i want to save it with locked cells; uneditable if i have to go that far...

    Fingers crossed for a solution...

    Cheers,
    Tigergutt
