i have many number in A column, like this 9884415456, 8939548745, 1248754515,( all this number in a cell)
i want put name if any one set of numbers starts in this series "9884" and "8939" means, i want know in next cell as we given name.
is there possible.. i have some example file. pls find and solve me
hi vengatvj. so if the 2 numbers are within but not at the start, it should not be CHENNAI? if so, try:
=IF(SUMPRODUCT(--ISNUMBER(SEARCH({" 9884"," 8939"}," "&A2&" "))),"CHENNAI NUMBER",NA())
to show as blanks instead of NA,
=IF(SUMPRODUCT(--ISNUMBER(SEARCH({" 9884"," 8939"}," "&A2&" "))),"CHENNAI NUMBER","")
