HELP! Course Details copied to another sheet using Vlookup? IF statement?

    Hi all
My excel skills have deteriorated over the years and I am feeling very frustrated at not knowing how to do this!
I have a spreadsheet which has Unique ID, Names, Course, Status of Course, Date of Course etc etc etc.
What I need to do is return only the names of those who have the following: Course A, Booked (status), 09/09/2013 (date).
I initially started off with an IF statement and found that it returned a value for all of my records, regardless of whether it met the criteria or not, then moved onto VLOOKUPS and now I'm just upset with myself for wasting so much time and not doing an advanced excel course.

    Thanks in advance.......

    Hi rosamisi..

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are demonstrated, mock them up manually if needed. Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.

Put this formula in cell F2 of the Data sheet:

    Formula: copy to clipboard
Please Login or Register to view this content.

then copy down to the bottom of your data or beyond. Then put this formula in B6 of the Attendance sheet:

    Formula: copy to clipboard
Please Login or Register to view this content.

and copy down as far as you need to.

If you change the Course in B1 and/or the Date in B2, the names will automatically change.

    Hope this helps.

    Pete
