    Employee Schedule Help

I have a good schedule but I need to add words such as Off, Request Off, Vacation and etc. When I do this, it messes up my formula because it only recognizes time. It adds that time for me to show the employees hours. I need each of these words to represent a 00:00 time so it will not mess with my formula. I want it to show the word in the place of the 00:00 time though! My times are chosen as start and end times form a drop down box I created. Schedule works great. Just need words also

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are demonstrated, mock them up manually if needed. Remember to desensitize the data.

where Off ,Leave and others are to be put in schuduler, because the range is validated for time.

    Re: Employee Schedule Help

Use the IFERROR function in the formulas on sheet2.

    Example: =IFERROR(TEXT(Sheet1!C9-Sheet1!B9+(Sheet1!C9<Sheet1!B9),"h:mm")*24,0)

This returns a zero if error is found, you will have to add the 'Off, Request Off & Vacation' to your data validation list.

    Hope this helps
