Working out hours worked if start one day, finish another (nights)
Hi guys,
Just wondering if anyone can help with this:
I am trying to make a spreadsheet for timesheets, however I am getting stuck when somebody starts on one day, then finishes on the next (ie, night shift).
Can anybody show/tell me the best way to work this out?

I think an hour will incrememnt the date "serial number" by 0.0416666 (1/24), therefore, working from serial numbers, the number of hours between two dates is:
=ABS(B1-A1)*24
Think Ive got it from that.

Based on your last post in this thread, its apparent that you are satisfied with the solution(s) you've received and have solved your question, but you haven't marked your thread as "SOLVED". I will do it for you this time.
In future, to mark your thread as Solved, you can do the following -
Select Thread Tools-> Mark thread as Solved.
Incase your issue is not solved, you can undo it as follows -
Select Thread Tools-> Mark thread as Unsolved.
