    Exclamation Sum with vlookup

    Hello everyone,

You will see the names on column A, those are just the beginning, there will be a lot more added to this spreadsheet. And as the names are added manually their TM name will be added manually as well.

The issue is I don't know how to write the vlookup formula for this. The area is highlighted in Yellow.

    Basically I need the Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4 results of Alex V.'s Team.

    And Same for David C.

I saw that there is a way to do it with vlooup and by using number of rows to the right of the origin, etc.

    Thank you.

    Re: Sum with vlookup

I can't seem to get it to work.

Attachment is the updated one. Basically I'm trying to get the data from another tab("Jan" within the workbook and i tried to change your formula to:

    =SUMIF(Jan!$F1:$F1000,'TM View'!$A5,Jan!G12:AK1000)

    and it's not working.

    Re: Sum with vlookup

    Hi,

If you are just counting entries by team manager by month you can just sum MTD in col. B

    =SUMIF(Jan!$F$1:$F$1000;'TM View'!$A5;Jan!$B$1:$B$1000)

    Hope it helps

    Re: Sum with vlookup

    Hi,

It looks like you got your answer - but you could do it by VBA also, either by invoking Worksheet Function sum of the range (preferred) or by using an accumulator variable.

    'til next time.
If I've helped you, please consider adding to my reputation - just click on the liitle star at the left.
