Return value from a filtered pivot table

I need to return values from a large pivot table - but the content will vary and many rows will be different depending on changing variables. So I want a formula that is able to return only the visible values in the pivot table.

Rumour has it that I might need to use some array formula.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

    Jonathan9,

I would suggest you post a sample file with say 2 dummy Pivots to illustrate the variations you infer - and also the expected results in respect of each of the sample Pivots - this will help people better understand the requirement.

You may be interested in the GETPIVOTDATA function (which will return Error if a specified intersect is not visible - which can be handled appropriately) - however the required output is a little vague at this point.

Why don't you add those conditions in a formula and redirect it to the source data?
