    Re: salary calculation

If this formula =E9/G9*H9 gives you the correct result 10 why do you use different formula for other rows?

    Re: salary calculation

    HI, ALKEY, THANKS FOR REPLY

I understand it, but here the senerio ls different.. actually, actual salary is 260..but we transfer to bank only basic salary 200. but if the working days is not completed full month 26 days, the deduction will be made on base of actual salary 260.

I put formula, but it giving me wrong result when a employee is newly join and worked only 1 or 2 days.

in short.. if the month is complete i.e. 26 days, than salary amount will be 200, but if any less day than deduction will be based on actual 260.

    pls help

    Re: salary calculation

Mathematically, that is exactly what is going to happen if someone works for 1-2 days. The equation is correct.

The maximum deduction, theoretically, if a person was to work 0 days would be the full 260. But since it's being deducted from the max payout of 200, it would result in -60 pay.

The equation works perfectly for the requirements you have... It's the requirements that need to be re-evaluated.

    Re: salary calculation

thanks... I m still not clear .. my boss told me to transfer SALARY to bank only basic salary 200 as first payment of salary. and second payment 60 will be paid after 15 days. but any deduction will be done in first payment based on 260.

and also if working days are less and salary calculation is not enough or less than first payment 200, than the same salary will be paid.

so if one person has 25 days. its mean his 1 days salary will be deducted from basic salary so amount wil be 190.
    but
if any new person, who has only 1 day and the amount is lesser than first payment (200), so 1 day salary based on 260 will be transferred.

hope it will make you clear to help me.

    Re: salary calculation

    Try this now

    =IF(E7/G7*H7>F7,E7/G7*H7-(E7-F7),E7/G7*H7)

    Re: salary calculation

thanks alkey, it works perfectly same what I was looking..I m very near to solve my problem.

but I have now I think last problem which appeared after this formula..

if days are 19 than salary will be 190 according to your good formula. cuz there is not balance salary for second payment after 15 days.
if days are 21 than salary will be 150 according to your good formula. cuz we have to pay second payment (260-200) after 15 days.

Now pls help me to give some formatting or some message, so that it can tell me that there is balance payment of this person 60 for second payment. otherwise how will I know that this person has finished salary or some balance amount is payable????

    plsssss
