    Seeing Double -- Name Manager

I have been using Offset to define dynamic ranges to be used as the data series for charts. They are basically set up to ensure that if a new column of data is added to a table, the data will appear on the chart without intervention. It all works fine. I was recently updating some of the formulas to use a relative starting point, based on the table column name, and it still worked no problem. I was trying to then change the details to a 12-month rolling window and made some changes to a few of the formulas, and when my changes didn't work, I did an Undo for all the changes with defined names. That worked, as the chart data returned to normal. However, now when I go into the "Name Manager" I have two of each named range. If I try to delete one or the other, I get an error in my chart data. Shy of deleting and recreating every table (not something I am interested in doing), is there any way to remove the duplicates. I can leave them in there, but any changes would have to be made to both, and I find it a bit confusing and overwhelming, and just plan wrong.

I have attached a screen-scrape of the Name Manager window.

Never mind. For some reason, after creating a new worksheet, suddenly, these named ranges had both one scope for the workbook, and one scope for the "new" worksheet. After deleting the ones for the "new" worksheet, the problem was resolved.

Trish, if you've solved the problem consider marking your post as solved so people might reference it.

Funny, I was looking for where I could do that, and couldn't find it. Is there an icon or button I can push to say "it's resolved".

Yes, under thread tools at the top of the post.

    Edit: directions...
Click Thread Tools above your first post, select "Mark your thread as Solved". Or click the Edit button on your first post in the thread, Click Go Advanced, select [SOLVED] from the Prefix dropdown, then click Save Changes. If more than two days have elapsed, the Dropdown option or Edit button will not appear -- ask a moderator to mark it.

None of those choices appear. I have no drop downs under "Thread Tools" except "subscribe to this thread" and "show printable version" I don't see any "Edit" button on my original post either. Weird, but true. I guess I will have to ask the moderator to make it "solved".

Of course right after I posted this, other items appeared on that "Thread Tools". I found it very odd there was a delay. But it's done now.

I seem to be having one of those days...Trish
