Best way to Sort Data with multiple conditions

Can anyone help me figure this out. Havent done anything with excel in awhile so im a lil rusty.

trying to create a formula to lookup the data on the data import tab and sort onto the last years sales page in the correct cell. Obviously this has to meet the two conditions of date and time frame.

Im thinking probably with IF statements? or INDEX?

    Any help is appreciated

    Any other suggestions out there?

I don't care for pivot tables as they seem very limited with what u can do with the data once its in them. Thank you for your time and suggestions.

You can use sumproduct for that.

But, you got to be kidding, pivot table is the best way to solve this problem (to my honest opinion).

I posted in excel 2007, but JieJenn posted an excel 2003 file.

    Hi,

Pivot Tables in 2003 Excel had a lot less features than the latest version of Excel.

Look at http://www.lynda.com/Excel-tutorials.../114891-2.html for how far they have progressed in 10 short years.

Have you ever thought of upgrading to a newer version of Excel?
