    Slight amendment needed to a ranking table.

    Hi.
    I wonder if someone could help me amend a formula. I have made a league table for my students scores and i have finished most things and they automatically change positions when scores are updated etc. However my problem is when the scores are tied - for example if i have 2 people in 3rd place it lists 1 person in 3rd the 4th position then comes up #N/A then it lists the 5th place no problem etc.

    The formula i am using is like this =INDEX(Sheet1!B4:B130,MATCH(1,Sheet1!L4:L130,0)) i put this formula into each line and change the number each time 1,2,3 etc.

    Hope someone can understand this and advise me, sorry i'm rather a newbie! with excel formulas.

    find the attachment, i added countif formula to Rank Formula in Column L

    Based on your last post in this thread, its apparent that you are satisfied with the solution(s) you've received and have solved your question, but you haven't marked your thread as "SOLVED". I will do it for you this time.

    In future, to mark your thread as Solved, you can do the following -
    Select Thread Tools-> Mark thread as Solved.
