Hello Excel Community,
I have been consulting multiple threads and blogs with regards to figuring out overlapping time. I am not sure what is the best way to do this for my data as I have lots of overlaps within days. There is a formula in column C that puts a '0' if the overlap is true and a '1' for false so that way I can do a sumproduct between column C and column D. I was also looking to see if there was an overlap when column E was put into the mix. Meaning when column E and overlap is true put a 0 and a 1 for false to hopefully get the range that had the biggest time. For example if there 10 entries but they all spanned within the 24 hour window then I would know to just count 24 hours total. In the end I want to be just get the hours that with the identifier so that I can multiple and get a total based on other parameters. Column E can belong to multiple disciplines and would want to do a sumproduct against that column, the total hour column.
Thanks for any help!
