    Filling cells based on the value in another

    I'm trying to fill a # of cells based on the number value that appears in another. For instance: If F5=7 I want the 7 fields to the right of F5 to autofill in a certain color. Attempting to create a "timeline" or bar graph of sorts that is adjustable so if the dates are changed, you can see how that effects the remaining portions of the process.
    Please help.

    You can use conditional formatting, as shown in the attached file. I've applied it to cells G5:P14, but you can easily extend it down further if needed.

    That did help - thank you. I ended up just copy/pasting into my spreadsheet and making it work, I would like to learn more on how that formatting condition formula works but I accomplished today's mission! Thanks for your help!

    Based on your last post in this thread, its apparent that you are satisfied with the solution(s) you've received and have solved your question, but you haven't marked your thread as "SOLVED". I will do it for you this time.

    In future, to mark your thread as Solved, you can do the following -
    Select Thread Tools-> Mark thread as Solved.

    Incase your issue is not solved, you can undo it as follows -
    Select Thread Tools-> Mark thread as Unsolved.
