Exclamation Accrual Vacation Schedule to Forecast/Note the year Employee Vacation 1-4 weeks is eligibl

I have a fairly simple request but don't know exactly how to get started, I tend to over think matters. I need to generate a accrual schedule of 8 employees, with a FTE dates ranging from 1986 to 2012 for vacation schedules to accruals of :
1 year of employment but less than 3 years - 1 week vacation
3 years but less than 7 years - 2 weeks
7 years but less than 18 years - 3 weeks
    18 years and over - 4 weeks.

I would like to have formulas entered, and alerts if possible for the upcoming eligible vacation...any suggestions are welcome.

    Thank you.

    Hi Jackie,

Take a look at the attached workbook and see if it does what you want.

Can you give me some more information about what you mean by:

and alerts if possible for the upcoming eligible vacation

Thumbs up Re: Accrual Vacation Schedule to Forecast/Note the year Employee Vacation 1-4 weeks is eli

Thank you for your submission reply. The attached completed spreadsheet is what I completed so far, with the help of this forum.

1.) I believe your formulas were different than mine, can you tell me if its relative?

2.) Do you know how I could add a column that will automatically "highlight" alert me by auto
fill/highlighting the cells when they are eligible for the anniversary date. For example I would have liked to add a column
which shows, the formulas that says the weeks they are eligible and the date 1/1/14 is the date employees can request, or
cash in the vacation days, and how many days.

I tried to reflect that in the worksheet but it wasn't my best work. Any advice is welcome. Thank you to everybody in advance.

    Hi again,

Take a look at the attached workbook and see if it does what you want.

It includes a "Recruitment Date Generator" so that you can easily experiment with different dates to check that the workbook behaves as you expect it to. It also allows you to specify an "Advance Warning Period" (e.g. four weeks) which will highlight any employee whose annual leave entitlement will increase within that period.

Hope this helps - please let me know how you get on.

    Regards,

    Greg M
