Hey!
I need to get the average of a categorized set of data from two columns. The spreadsheet attached should be quite clear I hope.
Any help would be very highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

In G3
=AVERAGEIF($A$3:$C$16,F3,$B$3:$D$16)
Copy down

Hey Ace_XL,
Thanks for the advice. But the problem is the spreadsheet attached is an abridged version of the original, and in the original, there are columns with values between all the cells, so doing $B$3:$D$16 as the average range won't work. I was wondering if there is a way to average two separate unconnected columns. Sorry for the confusion!
This should be able to be adapted. Add and change the ranges as needed. Enter in G3 and fill down.
