Hi, I am a complete novice when using Excel and have no real knowledge of Formulas, I have got as far as I am through searching/learning online.
I have a workbook containing 21 worksheets, the first worksheet is named summary and no data is inputted direct to this worksheet, as it gets all its data from the other 20 worksheets, which are named simply 1, 2, 3 and so on up to 20.
I am using the following/below formula in the worksheet called summary to get the data I require in the cell from the various other worksheets
=INDIRECT("'" & COLUMNS($A1:A1) & "'!B2") Which gets the data from cell B2 in the worksheet named 1 and places it in cell B5 in the summary worksheet.
I filled this across and my last formula is then
=INDIRECT("'" & COLUMNS($A1:T1) & "'!B2") Which gets the data from cell B2 in the worksheet named 20 and places it in cell U5 in the summary worksheet.
The above is fine and perfect, my problem arises when, say for example the Column K in the summary worksheet is blank and has no data and I want to drag back the data in columns L to U in order not to have a blank column on the summary worksheet, it seems to still include the data for K and effectively the last column data is gone
Can someone please post up a formula that will allow me to drag back data correctly. I know it's formulas that I'm dragging back probably not data, but am clueless thereafter.
Hope I have explained my problem, please remember that I am totally new to Excel when replying.
Many thanks.
