    Question How to calculate cost of item sold at a mark-up of 2.5%?

    need to calculate the cost of the item sold at $420 with a mark-up of 2.5% in excel 2007. What formula to use? Can Data What-if-Analysis function able to do this?

    =420/1.025 should be the original cost
