First, thank you for your assistance. Second, here is my dilemma:
I am a physician attempting to create a form that will assist in quickly interpreting laboratory data. While we receive laboratory results listing whether test results are within "laboratory normal" values, laboratory normals are different from "homeostatic normal" values. In other words, just because something is not pathologically abnormal, that doesn't mean that those results are homeostatically optimum. Therefore, I wanted to build a sheet that would allow me to enter laboratory results and automatically return findings of "high" or "low" based on homeostatic values.
I have successfully constructed page one which lists all of the common laboratory tests that are performed, and returns a value of "high" or "low" in the last column based on the values entered in another column of patient test results.
What I am struggling with is page two. I would like, beginning on page two, to have this form return results in paragraph form based on the values determined in the "high vs. low" column. In other words, if the value is "high," I would like page two to read like this:
High Test NameConversely, if the test result is "low," the paragraph returned would be different.
Common causes of this are:
1) Cause #1
2) Cause #2
3) Cause #3
Common treatments for this are:
1) Treatment #1
2) Treatment #2
3) Treatment #3
If the test result is blank, then nothing is returned.
Is there a way to do this? And, when the results are returned, I would like them to be one after the other on the page as opposed to one section of results followed by a big blank space where negative value cells are located and then the next positive test result. Obviously, it would fall to the physician to interpret the multiple findings contained within the report to deduce what is the most likely cause of the underlying data, but this could go a long way towards accumulating the data in one place to point the physician in the right direction.
I apologize if similar issues have been discussed before. I've tried to search the forum, but am not finding a similar scenario that solves my problem.
